Power BI Report & Dashboard Developer
Job Description
True Care is seeking a Power BI Report and Dashboard Developer to design executive-level dashboards that span multiple business systems. The role requires hands-on experience with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, along with strong SQL and data modeling skills to translate data into actionable insights for leadership. This is an onsite position in Brooklyn, NY with a competitive compensation package.

Salary: USD 100,000 - 130,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Create executive dashboards using Power BI Desktop and the Power BI Service.
- Develop data models, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations to support reporting needs.
- Leverage Microsoft Fabric components such as Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Pipelines to ingest, transform, and manage datasets.
- Implement incremental refresh strategies and optimize performance for large data sets.
- Develop advanced SQL queries including joins, CTEs, aggregations, and window functions.
- Build and maintain views, tables, and reporting logic within SQL environments.
- Connect to APIs, cloud storage (AWS S3), databases, and flat files to source data.
- Structure data using star schema or fact-dimension modeling approaches.
- Manage ETL/ELT processes and address data quality issues such as deduplication, key mismatches, and incomplete records.
- Translate business requirements into KPIs and technical solutions.
- Validate data accuracy and resolve inconsistencies to ensure trustworthiness of dashboards.
- Deliver dashboards that are ready for executive review and provide actionable insights.
- Oversee multiple reporting projects with clear communication and ownership.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric components (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines).
- Advanced proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M).
- Expert-level SQL skills.
- Experience building scalable data models and ETL processes.
- Experience integrating data from multiple systems and APIs.
- Solid understanding of data architecture and performance optimization.
- Ability to independently translate business discussions into technical solutions.
