Job Description

Akina, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to support the RECON team within the CNO environment. This role focuses on full stack development, UI/UX, and Python to deliver deployable solutions and end-to-end prototypes, collaborating with multiple product teams and mission stakeholders to iterate requirements rapidly. The position is onsite in Columbia, MD, with a salary range of USD 232,000 to 283,000 annually.

Responsibilities

Understand the mission objectives, work with teammates, gather user requirements, and quickly develop effective solutions.
Independently drive feature development and take ownership of the full development lifecycle.
Collaborate with and contribute to a diverse set of teams, systems, and technology stacks.
Design and build reliable, intuitive user interfaces and workflows.
Create cutting-edge solutions for data visualizations, task automation, and workflow improvements.

Requirements

Demonstrated technology flexibility with experience spanning UI/UX, middleware/API, back-end, and DevOps, plus a willingness to adopt needed technologies to achieve solutions.
Experience developing with at least one UI framework (React, Vue, Angular).
Experience writing scripts and services in Python.
RESTful web applications experience using both Spring Boot and Python.
Familiarity with relational databases (Postgres, SQLite, etc.).
Familiarity with GitLab (CI/CD).
